The goal of the AFP Edmonton & Area Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to members who are seeking to expand and enhance their fundraising knowledge. The AFP Edmonton & Area Chapter Board believes that this Program will help build a strong and diverse fundraising community.

The AFP Edmonton & Area is proud to participate in the Chamberlain Scholarship Program. The Chamberlain Scholarship Program honors Ralph Chamberlain, CFRE. Mr. Chamberlain helped to form one of AFP’s first chapters, and later served as Chair of both the Association and the Foundation. In 2000 the AFP Board of Directors renamed the Conference Scholarship Program to honour Mr. Chamberlain’s memory and commitment to the Association. This Scholarship awards one individual (attending for the first time) $500 towards the registration fee for the annual AFP International Conference on Fundraising, plus an additional $500 from the AFP Edmonton & Area Chapter to assist with other related expenses. A second award of $1000, funded solely by the Edmonton & Area Chapter will also be awarded to a first time attendee.
