Salary: $60,000 - $75,000

The Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton is seeking a full time (35 hours per week) organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused Campaign and Initiatives Coordinator to join the Mission Advancement team.

Reporting to the Stewardship and Fund Development Lead, the Campaign and Initiatives Coordinator supports the coordination and implementation of the Archdiocese’s Annual Appeal, as well as other fundraising initiatives, events and projects.   This operational role requires strong organizational and communication skills, initiative and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently while collaborating with Communications, pastoral leadership, parishes, donors and other stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Lead the detailed planning and execution of the Annual Appeal, including timelines, activities, resources, communications and follow-up.

  • Coordinate with clergy, parish staff, communications, beneficiaries and other stakeholders to support successful campaign implementation.

  • Monitor campaign activities, deliverables, timelines and expenditures.

  • Review and analyze campaign and donor information to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

  • Research annual appeal and fundraising practices and provide recommendations.

  • Coordinate donor follow-up and respond to Annual Appeal inquiries, including payment and account-related matters.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential donor and campaign information, including through DonorPerfect.

  • Draft and coordinate Annual Appeal communications, promotional materials and parish resources for review and approval.

  • Support Annual Appeal budget development and monitoring.

  • Assist with other fundraising initiatives, projects, meetings and events as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or post-secondary education in fundraising, marketing, communications, business administration or a related field.

  • Experience in fundraising, stewardship, campaign coordination, donor engagement, communications or a related area.

  • Experience coordinating projects or campaigns from planning through implementation and evaluation.

  • Experience with donor management software or databases; DonorPerfect experience is an asset.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with pastors, parish staff, volunteers, donors and colleagues.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and Teams.

  • Understanding of the Catholic Church, parish life and the mission of the Archdiocese.
